SUMMARY
Nob Hill Catering DBA The LunchMaster is the pioneer in preparing and distributing high quality meals to local schools. The LunchMaster has worked successfully with 100+ Bay Area, Central Valley and Los Angeles schools for more than 20 years to provide delicious, nutritious meals that kids and adults like, eat and enjoy.
A delivery driver's job involves transporting goods from Nob Hill Catering Warehouse location(s) to clients throughout the service area, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. The driver is responsible for loading and unloading goods, navigating routes efficiently, and interacting professionally with customers.
The delivery driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. The delivery driver will work as part of the delivery team to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client.
The delivery driver should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with excellent experience. Must be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
· Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
· Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
· Collecting client signatures or other required proof of delivery from clients for delivered items.
· Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
· Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
· Ensure delivery vehicles are cleaned, organized, and maintained in good condition at all times
· Promptly report any traffic delays, incidents, or route disruptions to the supervisor
· Manage product returns or exchanges and follow proper documentation procedures for any rejected or returned orders; report all such instances to the Manager
· Support basic inventory-related tasks, including restocking and order verification
· Utilize inventory tracking systems or software to assist with inventory control and documentation
· Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
· Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
· Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
· Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries
· Meeting delivery deadlines and following assigned delivery routes
· Performing basic truck maintenance, such as refueling, doing visual inspections and reporting potential issues
· Using additional equipment, such as forklifts, hand trucks and dollies, as needed
· Early morning shifts (start times vary between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM)
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid driver's license issued by the state of CA and at least one year of driving experience to perform the job safely
· Clean driving record
· Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles
· Experience may be required or preferred
· Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients
· Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
· Time management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on schedule
· Attention to detail
· Must pass a background check
LANGUAGE SKILLS
A working knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written; Spanish is a plus.
Must have the ability to interpret written and verbal requests as required. Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with the interpersonal skills are needed to create and maintain a team centered environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands of this position are typical of those found in a warehouse & food service setting. Some lifting will be required. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. is required.

The environment can be fast paced and hectic with a high volume of work.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour
